How to Donate

We accept cash, debit, Mastercard and Visa. Please visit your nearest library branch or phone 250-384-5222 to speak with a member in our Administrative Services office. You may also email lrobertson@gvpl.ca.

We also accept donations by cheque by mail at:

Directing the use of your donation

Designated for a specific purpose - You may specify that your donation be directed towards a specific use or purpose, such as library materials, a service or program, a particular branch or facility.

For general use - You may also donate for general use or with no particular general designation, in which case it will be directed to the area of greatest need in fulfilling the mission of the library. Gifts with the fewest possible restrictions allow the Library to address its most pressing needs and provide for long-term flexibility.

Library Endowment Fund– You may donate to the Library Endowment Fund. Donations are invested locally with the Victoria Foundation. A portion of the interest generated annually goes towards library programs and services, leaving the donation intact to continue to work for the public library forever.

Charitable Tax Receipts

A tax-deductible charitable donation receipt will be issued for all monetary donations over $10.00. We accept donations at all branches.
