Volunteer Opportunities
We love our volunteers! Without our volunteers, some services and programs would simply not happen.
Teen Volunteers
Youth Advisory Council (YAC)Have your voice heard! Teens looking for an interesting volunteer opportunity are invited to join the GVPL Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Work on special library projects, meet other teens, have fun, boost your resume, and earn volunteer hours. If you are new to YAC, please complete a YAC Referral Form and bring it to the first meeting. For ages 13–18. YAC will meet on the first Saturday of the month from January to June 2012, and this session is currently underway. |

Knit Wits
A fun way to gain volunteer hours and give back to the community -- and learn to knit too! Teens and tweens can earn hours toward the High School volunteer or community service graduation requirement by participating in our Knit Wits program and donating a completed neckwarmer. A letter documenting their hours will be available upon request. Thanks to all our Knit Wits this year! Are you one of our Knit Wits? Here are the knitting instructions for you! |
