How to Borrow

Bring your library card with you when you visit the Library. You can borrow up to 60 items per card, with limits on some materials. You can also place up to 60 holds per card. Most materials may be returned to any branch, with book chutes available for after-hours returns.

How to Renew

You can renew 21 day loan materials or 7 day DVDs twice if not on hold for another patron.

On the Internet

Connect to My Library Account through the Catalogue.

By Telephone

Call the Greater Victoria Public Library's Telephone Renewal System: 250-413-0362.

You will need:

• your library card number
• the library barcode numbers on the items you want to renew

Follow the step-by-step instructions using the keypad on your telephone to enter the numbers.

Self Checkout

Self checkout stations are available at all branches. You can also use Self Checkout to renew items.

In Person

Just bring in the items and our staff will be happy to renew them for you.
