Shelves & Lists

Under My Account there are two sections which seem similar, My Shelves and My Lists. Although both of these let you manage your library materials, they're uses are slightly different.

My Shelves

Thyre are three pre-set categories for My Shelves. All Items on My Shelves are visable to others, but you can opt to keep these private by default through the Privacy Settings in My Library Account:

Completed - Items are automatically added to Your Completed Shelf if you have opted into retaining a Reading History.

In Progress - You can add items to this list by clicking Add to My Shelves link from search results, or a title’s details page.

For Later - You can add to this list to keep track of items you'd like to check out in the future. You can add any item to a MY Shelves that is avaaible in the catalogue or on Amazon, so even if we don't have it yet, you can add it to your list.

My Lists

A list is a collection of titles related to a specific topic or idea of your choosing. Best Italian Cookbooks, 10 Books My Daughter Loves Best and Movies That Changed My Life are examples of lists you could create. A good list is a curated topic guide. A list shouldn’t be just a group of titles by an author, since you can do that just by searching, or a list of titles you want to borrow, since you have a For Later shelf for that.
