Audiobooks

Audiobooks are a great opportunity to experience books in whole new way.  We provide audiobook versions of popular fiction and non-fiction for adults, teens and children.

The fiction collection includes:

• bestsellers
• mysteries
• family sagas
• classics of world literature
• audio award winners

The non-fiction collection includes:

• bestsellers
• biography & memoir
• political analysis
• popular science
• health & wellness
• armchair travel
• language learning kits

In addition, read along book & CD kits are available in the children’s area for young emergent readers, and in the literacy collection for adult learners. 

The majority of our audiobook collection consists of multiple disc audiobooks on CD.  The Talking Books collection, whose use is restricted to those with visual or other disabilities that prevent use of print material, is the only collection that includes the cassette format, among a variety of other audio formats.  Due to hardware incompatibility, MP3 CDs are not acquired other than for the Talking Books collection.  

We do also offer a small collection of Playaways (pre-loaded MP3 players) for core adult language learning.
