Drop-in Programs: No registration is required. Admission to drop-in programs and events is first come, first served.

Registered Programs:  Advance registration is required. Register below or call 250-940-4875 for more information. If you do not have an email address, enter [email protected] A confirmation email will be sent after successful registrations. When registering for a program in a series, only one registration per individual is necessary. If you are registering for a series after the series has begun, please select the next program date in the future and register for that one. Your registration will be applied to the rest of the series.

Historian and former member of the Canadian Army Reserve Bart Armstrong brings life to the stories of two local heroes of WWI: commander Rowland “Rollie” Bourke, who earned a Victoria Cross and two other medals, and private Robert “Robbie” Gilbert, who was awarded the German Iron Cross. Learn about Bourke and Gilbert and hear about Bart’s research on more than 100 Canadian recipients of the United States’ Medal of Honor. Presented in partnership with Saanich Archives.
