Some patrons are not receiving email notifications from GVPL, including messages about hold pick-up dates, resource returns and renewals, and reminders about library account expiry dates.
If you are not receiving our emails, there are a few things you can do to help ensure you receive emails from GVPL:
- Check your email settings to ensure you have selected GVPL as a ‘safe’ sender. Our email notifications are sent from [email protected].
- Check your spam or junk folder – sometimes our emails end up there.
- Add us to your address book. Again, our email notifications are sent from [email protected].
- Check with your email service provider. They may have additional anti-spam tools running that are preventing you from getting messages. If so, ask them to whitelist our address – [email protected].
You are also encouraged to check your account regularly for hold pickup and due dates. If you still have trouble receiving e-mails from us, contact us. We can verify that we have your correct email on file, or we can help you choose to receive notifications by SMS or phone, instead of email.
