A general strike gripped Winnipeg in 1919. Some 25,000 men and women walked off the job, demanding higher wages, and improved working conditions. For six weeks, both sides used any means, including spies and informants, to win the battle. Local author and historian Michael Dupuis presents facts, revelations and insights about the Winnipeg General Strike, based on research for his new book, The Winnipeg General Strike: Ordinary Men and Women Under Extraordinary Circumstances. Registration begins March 25.
